11月11日 Bells and BuzzersBells and buzzers surrounds me tonight as I am picking up an extra shift on the med-surg floor. It is all coming back to me, the rush of the dinner med-pass, blood sugar checks, and wound care. It is nice to see some of my old friends and meet the few new staff. They are all really excellent nurses. MSU (Med-surg unit) really has a good team here now. I most likely will be back here after I am finished with my RN school. Going back to school seemed a simple thing to do years back when I started. I am getting closer to admission to the RN program but it still seems so far off. Not the time for the prereq's to be done but the heaps of paperwork I will now have to wade through to apply to schools and for tuition reimbursement. You would think they would make it easy to advance in your career but it is anything than that.
I got to talk a little tonight to my Mom on the phone, (jeeze, writing an entry in my blog, talkin on the phone and oh yeah STUDYING too! Boy am I workin hard!) I havent talked to her for a while and it was nice to hear she is doing well. I am proud of her getting up the courage to start a fast paced job in the airline field as a flight scheduler... GO MA! But not to hear the upsetting news of my cousin back in Scotland (or England? humf I cant remember where he's at) not doing so well after a frightfull fall. I am sure all of the family's thoughts are wilth him giving him strength to make it past this.
Okay I know, I havent posted the pics yet of my Kid's halloween,,,, I'll get there,,, eventually.
