First week of school and I have already DISECTED A RAT! Let me tell you that was a new and very interesting experience. Yeah I know it was a bit gross and the smell was not all that appealing but it was pretty amazing! I learned some cool tid bits of info about rats...

     *pinning down a rat's paw to the dissecting tray is a lot harder than it looks.

      *scissors are easier to use than a dull school scalpel blade.

      *when using a bulb syringe rat lungs inflate amazingly well (much different than human lungs)

      *rats have no gallbladder

      *rats have a HUGE liver

      *a rat’s penis has a right angle in it. (Almost wrote angel)

      *and most importantly... those little suckers have a huge load of sh!t in em!

 Oh what a wonderful week it's been .  Tomorrow I start Statistics. uggh! I HATE MATH CLASSES. I just pray the teacher is slow and understanding and talks better than my friend’s real estate teacher. You can check her out for a giggle (okay I LMFAO) at her latest blog. Keep it real yo!

 Oh yeah and my son tonight had the biggest owie he has ever had. He was riding his bike in the back yard and he crashed on the pool gate and his bike crashed then against the house then he jumped over his bike on to the patio. When he landed on the patio he cut open his big toe from the side of it up to the nail bed and he scraped off the skin from on top of his toe. He had blood all over the side of his foot he was a mess. He cried like a fire engine and ran fast all over the house (this is being narrated by my son by the way...) My husband called me as I was driving home informing me we might need to go to the hospital. When I got there my son with tears streaming down his face would not let me touch him with out putting up a fierce fight! I poured some numbing liquid on it and after some more screaming (I think in fear) he realized he couldn’t feel his toe! It was cleaned and antibacterialized and wrapped in a very nursely fashion! Good thang I got skills!  And here I thought we were going to go to the state fair tonight... yummy deep fried Twinkies!

 ~no we didnt go to the hospital. Saved by Doctor MOM.

 

 

 

 

 

   

Mondays VAS turned out to be a no-show. Oh well he must have know I was a little cord queezy. Tuesday I was ready to go. but only one of two showed up and I nailed it. Kinda silly how I'm all worked up over a little procedure but if youve never seen it, it can get a little ewe!

Did three more today with out so much as a shiver. It was great! The Docs going to show me how to close and tie...

Today.

Besides may kick azz day at work, Ive been getting along. I am starting school the 21st and I am starting to feel abit edgy because of it. I dont know if it's nerves, excietment or impatience that has got me all awry but the 21st cant get here soon enough. I had already bought my books and had started reading/studying last week. I cant help it. Its like I am hungry to get started on this semester. Maybe its because its anatomy and physiology. Its going to be a tough semester and I want to get ahead of it. I have two maybe three semesters to go befor I can apply for the bachelors nursing program at sac state and I want it bad! I had taken my books to work today. LAUGH! I never got to even look at them it was so busy!

 

Coming home sucks! I hate hate hate traffic. But I can proudly say I blew off all the frustration from driving on... THE TREADMILL! Wholly crap people I actually got on the thing!  I walked a fast pace and used arm weights for 30 miniutes and then bumped it up to an army ranger shuffle for the next ten miniutes. I finished the last ten with an incline of 10 and slowed it down to really work the buttocks... I had to work off those damn raisen pasteries that I ate today 3of them!

Okay.. here goes nothin,

 Every time I assist in a VAS I have to go get Mike my boss to finish, I get ill about half way through. simple procedure really but nontheless. here goes. Mike is on vacation, at 0800 I have my first VAS with out him. I better not hit the floor.

 

 

7 1/2 lbs, 19 inches, blue eyes a wispy brown hair. She was born on Wed at 3:27. How wonderful! She is too damn cute too!

no cone head at all, really no troll impression from her! Mom is doing fine and already home yesterday.  She's about ready to start loans any day now!!!    I'll have pics when I get em!

 

School starts the 21st, bought my books...$ 270.00 and I'm freakin out. I found one of the books online and if its do able when I see it in person Im taking my main 160.00 book back and tellin em to KMA. lord.

 

Work is going good, penis prostesis guy came by today so I could see all the implants. WoW that was a different in-service unlike any other. I had no idea that there was so much to a proper penis placement for a perky penis.  Peter my proud peppy penis was in good company. 

I have a educational model that is attached to a model stand and in maluable, you can position it upright or down... it even comes with a nice round set of testttt's... the special part though is that I have my daughters Mr the Potato head cheezin smile stuck in the urethera and a constricting loop around the base of it... looks like a bolo tie. I get alot of remarks on how 'interesting' it is!

anyway I really and quite normal really!

Ceece...still no baby, but I bet she's a little more relaxed now. After a good long foot soak and massage complements of yours truly I think she will hopefully sleep better.

Ive finished my summer argumentive class YEAH! I'm Throwin a mid summer nights BBQ at my house... Food, Beer, Wine, and what ever. It's a relief party in between summer class and fall semester. I think I did pretty good too, I had better got an A. For my final I had to write up an argument what I thought I should get for a grade. Yeah like that's real hard! 

 

Good news well after a little worrysome news.

My Dad last weekend had a small, small heart attack. Thankfully he is alright and fixed up for now. He had two stents placed to his RCA: Right Coranary Artery for non-medical people, and is expected to do fine, as long as he changes his diet and moves around more. I think after this experience he will.  He will need to return and have a work-up on the arteries on the Left, he will most likely need to have a stent in it as well at one point. Hopefully he will prevent buying himself a by-pass surgery.

I am waiting for my best friend to go into labor. Ceece Hurry up and have Zoe already. Now I'm counting: 1 day overdue.
